The fall line
- separates Piedmont and coastal plains
- A boundary about 26 miles wide that runs across Georgia
- Called fall line due to its many waterfalls.
- Major city's along fall line include:
- Millidgeville
- Augusta
- Columbus
- Macon
- Located in the southern corner of Georgia
- It is the largest swamp in north america(almost covers 200 miles)
- Homes to more than 400 species
- Because the Okefenokee swamp national wild life, theirs is no more logging because of the refuge in 1937
- The southern part of the application mountains are the blue ridge mountains
- Georgia's highest annual rain fall is 80 in per year
- The crescent of the mountains form the Continental divide
- Divides the direction in which rivers drain
- West flowing rivers empty into the gulf of mexico
- Begins in the blue ridge mountains
- Flows southwest towards Alabama and into the gulf of mexico

- They protect the main land from storms

- Average tempatures are 79 during summer and 39 during winter
